What to Expect
Elective Limited Diagnostic 3D and 4D Ultrasounds
Welcome to the exciting world of 4D Ultrasound from GE medical systems. This new technology represents the difference between video and still photography. Through this new medical advancement, your baby’s three-dimensional image is continuously updated onscreen. This gives you a “live action” view of your baby.
We offer elective scans to those expectant moms who are currently receiving prenatal care and have already undergone their second trimester anatomy ultrasounds. These scans are completed by our experienced and caring medical sonographers and will include a report for your OB/Midwife that includes the following information:
- Number of babies
- Heart rate
- Position of the baby
- Gender Determination (if desired)
- Position of the placenta
- Fluid level
Elective scans are not covered by insurance; however, we offer a variety of packages at prices beginning at $89.

After your session, and depending on the package you chose, You’ll be able to purchase extra pictures, duplicate live action DVD’s or picture CD’s.
Tips
For your Ultrasound session, you do not need to have a full bladder, but we do recommend keeping your body hydrated several days before your visit. Water, not soda, gets the best results. Please wear pants or a skirt for your own comfort and modesty.
